About This Project
This unique eco-friendly, contemporary home was designed to take full advantage of the superb river views and was built to be light and airy throughout. The feature elements include the use of hardwood timber flooring and raked ceilings (high-set windows allow for natural air-flow through the home), an indoor atrium which brings both sunlight and nature to the indoor environment. The home has been given a modern façade featuring angled roof-lines, a combination of James Hardie cladding profiles, and an earthy colour palette. The profile features a strong angular perspective and the reverse pitched roof keeps the front patio area open and light. The owners desired a high quality finish and superior materials and fittings were installed throughout. The inclusion of a 2 pak polyurethane and caesarstone kitchen with frameless glass balustrade complete the modern and functional finish required.
We were also called upon to build a new boat ramp allowing for access through the garage area, a necessity when living on the waterways. The original home was demolished to make way for the new design, which suits the retired owners perfectly.
